Fried Green Tomatoes
Printer Friendly Version
Ingredients:
Green tomatoes
Flour
Eggs
Salt and Pepper (to taste)
oil (for frying)
Directions:
Slice tomatoes
Dip tomato slice in egg bath, coat thoroughly and then dip into flour, again-coat thoroughly (I add salt and pepper to my egg dip and to my flour dip)
Place tomato in oil and fry till golden on one side, flip and cook until other side is golden. When they are finished frying, remove them from the pan, I like to place them on a plate that has a layer (or 2) of paper towels on it, in order to soak up some of the oil!
Lastly, Enjoy!
Delicious! Growing up I only ate them when Momma or Gram made them, but once I reached High School, I had decided it was time I finally make them for myself! Glad I did, because now, I get to share it with you!! Hope you all enjoy!!
Happy Eating!!
